Service Description

The Sacred Woods is a small care farm and retreat space located on peaceful rural land in Treaty 6 Territory in Alberta. It was created as a place for people to slow down, reconnect with themselves, and experience the healing presence of nature, animals, and intentional community. The space centers around a beautiful geodesic dome gathering space, surrounded by forest, open sky, and the quiet rhythms of farm life. Retreat guests experience an environment that supports reflection, nervous system regulation, creativity, and authentic connection. The land is home to horses and other farm animals who are part of the healing environment. Many groups find that simply being in proximity to the animals deepens the sense of grounding and presence. The Sacred Woods is ideal for: Wellness day retreats Corporate wellbeing retreats Leadership and team development days Yoga, meditation, or breathwork retreats Women’s circles and healing gatherings Creative workshops Retreat Space Includes • Geodesic dome gathering space • Outdoor nature areas and forest walking space • Farm and horse presence (optional interaction) • Quiet rural setting 25 minutes outside Edmonton • Outhouse containing a composting toilet and wash station. • Tea and water provided. Catering possible. Groups typically range from 8–20 participants, depending on retreat format. Rental Rates Hourly Rental $75 / hour Half-Day Retreat (up to 4 hours) $250 Full-Day Retreat (up to 8 hours) $400 Longer or multi-day retreat collaborations can be discussed. Optional Add-Ons Retreat organizers may also book optional experiences such as: • Equine-Assisted Learning sessions • Guided meditation or sound bath experiences • Reiki or energy-based wellness offerings • Nature-based reflection practices These can be facilitated by Kristin or integrated into retreat programming depending on the needs of the group. Values & Cultural Respect The Sacred Woods holds a deep commitment to respectful and responsible wellness practices. We recognize that many healing modalities and spiritual practices have roots in Indigenous, cultural, and lineage-based traditions. Our intention is to honor these traditions without appropriating them, and to remain mindful of the difference between inspiration and ownership. Prior to rental, we ask that a meeting be booked to ensure the dome rental is inline with these values.
