VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES: Our ongoing volunteer days include a wide variety of tasks - there's something for every interest and ability. Volunteers can participate in the following areas: 1. Animal Care -Feeding and watering: Ensure our animals receive their daily nutrition and fresh water. -Cleaning and Maintenance: Help keep barns, shelters, and enclosures clean and comfortable. -Observing and Connecting: Spend time around the animals to help them feel safe and seen. -Supportive Presence: Simply being calm and attentive around animals is a meaningful contribution. 2. Gardening and Land Stewardship: -Planting and Harvesting: Take part in seasonal work growing vegetables and herbs, and flowers. -Weeding and mulching: Keep garden beds healthy and tidy. -Composting: Help turn organic waste into rich soil 3. Farm Projects and Maintenance: -Trail and Fence Work: Keep our paths and fences in good repair. -Small Building Projects: Pitch in with simple repairs or improvements. -Tool and Equipment Care: Clean and store tools properly after use. WHAT TO BRING: -Comfortable, weather appropriate clothing -Closed toe shoes or boots -Water bottle and snacks -Work gloves (if you have them) -A willingness to learn and a love for nature
